Yep, commie central right here in the Midwest, the dam socialist in ILL. have budget woes, other pressing issues. Furthermore a judge struck down ILL. no carry option laws, and they are wasting there time with this? I hope they screw around enough to  where the judges stay expires in six months, then all there gun laws will have expired...
They mite be incompetent enough to have the judges ruling go through an null and void all the gun laws. Responsible  lawmakers will fix unconstitutional foundation before adding any new regulations on top of existing laws witch are broken...

NY county clerk calls it like it is.   I hope many others will do the same.  

This is the email I sent to all of the email addresses listed for the the newspaper publishing the list of weapons permit holders.

Your decision to publish that list of lawful weapons permit holders was not just irresponsible, it may also have grave consequences for both those who hold permits and those who do not.  What you've chosen to do is assist the criminals by providing them with a roadmap to undefended properties like your neighbors and also pointed them to where they can find weapons to steal to use in crimes against your neighbors.  And for what purpose?  Trying to make criminals out of lawful gun owners instead?  Criminals don't bother with gun permits so they won't be on your list.  Are you willing to take responsibility for whatever happens to these real live people with homes and families as a result of your decision?  What's next on your list, permits or customer lists for those who have security systems installed, those who have had a family member arrested or treated for depression, those involved in same sex relationships sanctioned through state licenses?  Why stop at publishing a list?  I'll bet you could get a group together and go door to door in these neighborhoods and actually post handbills with targets on the doors to make it even easier to distinguish.  I hope you sleep well thinking about the next siren you hear and whether it was rushing to one of the addresses on your list.  It is people like you with no regard for others, their welfare, their rights or their privacy who are a danger to us all.  Your willingness to betray and believe you are entitled by your own bias to do so is astoundingly poor judgement.  It's the same kind of judgement used by anti war activists who share troop strengths and armament information, putting our soldiers at risk.  It's the same kind of judgement used by anti abortion activists who print lists of doctors and encourage others to "stop the killing" who put both the doctor and patient at risk.  They all have a right to their opinion but they have no right to take actions which jeopardize the safety and wellbeing of other law abiding citizens.  That's what you have done with your list.  Certainly no one will mistake it for responsible journalism.
